Pinterest

Please note that this is my response to this blog.

"Do you pinterest?" Pinterest is a website which people use to collaborate and share their ideas with others. I am personally on Pinterest, along with the rest of the female population (sorry if I offended any dude-pinners out there!). It wasn't until I read the blog above that I recognized the potential: Pinterest is currently the hottest website around, so why aren't we using it in the classroom?

Check this out. Or sometimes this category. Fellow Tech bloggers: how do you like me now?

We have all these brilliant-minded teachers out there, sharing what they've got. We too can contribute our lesson plans and fun activities to the mix. This isn't a tech tool that you can necessarily use in your lesson plan, but you can learn so much from other teachers through Pinterest. Repin the ideas, and you have them in your own virtual teacher's inventory. Best part? Absolutly free. There is litterally nothing to lose.

But I'm not going to tell you all that you can do with this tech tool- figure it out yourself!

ABC Teach

Hey guys, so I know it has been a while, but I'm back! Today I wanted to talk about something called ABC Teach. I'm seriously lovin' it!

ABC Teach is a collaborative watering-hole for the creative educator; on this website, there's everything from worksheet samples to ideas for interactive learning. Do you want your students to play math bingo? Here's an outline that you can fill in. How about a spelling activity? Or some creative teaching techniques? The creators of this website understand the difficulty of teaching and the struggle to make lessons relevant for students. The purpose of the site isn't to make the lazy teacher's job easier, it's to revamp the cutting edge teaching styles that our students need! I recommend following their blog as well.

As far as costs go, you can get a membership for the site, and it's about $3.35 a month- not too shabby! However, there's a section of the site that's yours to use for free!

Altogether, I'm a fan. It's cheap, it's easy to use, and it's a site where the creators understand the needs of the modern educator. Pretty solid all around.

My rating on this "tech tool": 4/5 stars (Not my favorite, but it's still a great find!)
